March 26, 2022- Home Depot Succulent Plant Give-Away

I don’t make a very good cactus, but I had a great time at the Home Depot in Encinitas, participating in a succulent plant giveaway to promote water conservation and drought-tolerant gardens. Representatives from OMWD, County Water Authority, San Dieguito Water District, and the City of Carlsbad provided customers with information on water conservation programs and complimentary services. I would especially like to thank Altman’s Farms in Vista for supplying free, one-quart succulent plants to the first 500 attendees and the brave cactus model.

OMWD provides rebates and credits to customers who switch from lawns to low water use landscapes and purchase water-efficient appliances. We also provide free water use evaluations.
