September 18, 2025-Colorado River Aqueduct Tour

 

The Colorado River is a vital source of San Diego’s water, and the river is in distress. On September 18th and 19th, I had the privilege of being invited to a tour of the Metropolitan Water District’s aqueduct system, which delivers water from Lake Mead (Hoover Dam) to San Diego. The tour included expert presentations on the state of the river and on possible solutions to diversify our regional water portfolios to address climate change in the river basin.
